School District #2142 Voter Approved Building Plan

Here are the building plans as approved by district wide voters on Dec. 8th, 2009 for those of you who have not seen them. Our beautiful Babbitt-Embarrass School will be seeing needed refurbishing, remodeling and further improvements. This is just such great news that the children of this area will be able to attend a school that we all so much appreciate for its quality education and excellent workmanship.

Meetings

Tops #588 of Babbitt, now meets at 8:30 AM Thursdays at the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
New members welcome for more info. Call 827-2277.

VFW, and Auxiliary meetings will be held the second Monday of the month at 7 PM in the Senior Citizen Room at the City Hall in Babbitt.

AA group meets every Tuesday, 8 PM at the Presbyterian Church in Babbitt.

"Love Your Library with a Gift" this week! Gifts are designated for the purchase of new books. Donations for book purchases are especially significant as the 2007 budget for books is $2,275 down from $8,500 in 2003. This campaign is sponsored by Friends of the Babbitt Library to provide Babbitt and surrounding communities with up to date literature. Stop at the library to make a donation toward new books and to become a member of Friends of the Library.
