Mayor Anderson is calling a Emergency Council Meeting 9/26 at 10 am Monday morning.

We will be rolling the scheduled joint Babbitt Lions & Community Health Council meeting by directing everyone to the council meeting first and then will meet briefly after to further coordinate as needed.

Other information:

Note: A Meeting afterward is being held at the Senior Center located in the Babbitt Municipal Building. This is for all Groups and Individuals that would like to be part of an organization process for local food, medication and laundry services for families and elderly that do not have the means to travel to neighboring towns. (Meeting organized by the Babbitt Lions & the Community Health Council.)

Northeast Range Varsity Volleyball vs. Mesabi East 8/30/2011

Photos from the varsity match vs. Mesabi East on August 30, 2011. Great match to watch. The Nighthawks seemed to start clicking in the second match and kicked into high gear in the third. They ended up winning 3-0. Exciting with every game being pretty close. Great start to the season. GO NIGHTHAWKS!!!!!!!!

Believe it or not, our first sports games of the year are already upon us this next week! Two historically strong football and volleyball programs have combined for this inaugural year of the Northeast Range Nighthawks School. It should make for some great sports event viewing and competition so we hope to see you there! Go Nighthawks!

Northeast Range Nighthawks Sports Rally

A Sports Rally will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1st before the first Northeast Range Nighthawks Football game against Silver Bay in Babbitt. Game starts at 3:30 p.m. Free hotdogs will be provided. Other concessions, face-painting and T-shirt drawings will also be available. At 6:30 p.m., the Nighthawks Volleyball team will play against Silver Bay at Vermilion Community College in Ely, Mn. All are welcome.
